Before making the move to higher education in 2016, I spent most of my career as a newspaper photojournalist, the last 10 years at The Dallas Morning News in North Texas. It was a really wonderful experience that afforded me tremendous opportunities to tell some interesting, important stories. And I met a lot of really fascinating people along the way.
